I wanted to recreate Frisks room from Undertale for this project. Just an overall comfortable children's bedroom, while keeping a low-poly feel to really capture the nostalgia. Undertale is 10 years old this year, and I felt making the model would be a fun way to celebrate.

I drew all of the textures, carefully making sure everything felt like it had been touched and carved by a person.

Early Renders

Starting off with simple shapes, I wanted to add more to the room. Its so simple in game, which makes sense, but I wanted to add more. A bookshelf and a chair, as well as more wall decor was my solution. I took props from other parts of the house this room is in and added them to the scene. Then, I laid some base colors before beginning to texture on my own.

Prop Designs

The paintjob on the final props is what really made me enjoy this project. I loved getting to color and shade and add fun kinds of textures of my own onto each prop, giving it personality and charm. Each painting on the wall (seen in final) was either an in-game poster that I shaded or touched up or hand drew.

Final

The final project is something I'm really proud of. From the paint job to the models, all of it was done by me. I rarely if ever pulled something from online to create textures or colors in terms of texture - and obviously modeled everything. Seeing it all come together is so fulfilling.
